We first saw him on Vasantham Star 2005. He mesmerised many hearts with his show-stopping stage presence and performances. Week after week, fans enthusiastically supported him till he bowled home the top prize. Shabir came across to many as the most well-dressed good looking talent on the competition who walked away as the winner of Vasantham Star'05.

After his Vasantham Star win, Shabir has relentlessly contributed to the local music scene. Shabir has taken part and sung the official National Day Parade theme songs for 2 consecutive years. Apart from performing, Shabir has been involved in research works relating to the music culture. In Jul 2008 he initiated a research on Tamil Rap and Tamil Hip Hop for NUS. He was a guest speaker in the seminar which saw a turnout of 500.This young talent is also an official member of the Composers & Authors Society of Singapore...

We are indeed proud that the standard of dance competitions and participants' creativity on National Television has made an outstanding impression on our society.
