Sembawang Beach - D'ya guys noe tat we have ANZUK forces in Singapore? ANZUK is an acronym for Austalia, New Zealand and UK. We have these joint forces in Woodlands Sembawang area. D interesting part is, u'll have to pass their camps when you whisk in ur car or bike b4 u reach the Sembawang Beach. Notice the names of the roads and architecture and landscaping. This will help u guess which region is dedicated for each force. The place is so cosmo, angmo pplz walking along the road, u won't feel u r in Singapore for a few moments…
They have a few cottages built in that area where expat retirees live, very quiet amongst the beautiful nature…go further in and u will reach Sembawang beach where u pplz can play in the water or make ur way to the jetty for some fishing or enjoy the sunset in the evening…nice place for a barbeque too… We hear that URA (Urban Redevelopment Authority) may be reclaiming this stretch of the beach soon. U might wana check it out before Sembawang Beach becomes history!
Elias Rd Beach (Changi) - Happening pl at nitz man…with all da aromas of barbequed or grilled seafood floats in the air. U can play soccer or throw balls, play in the water or simply pitch a tent and snooze inside.
Ps: Dun forget to book ur pits at (Changi & Sembawang) at least 10-14 days in advance with National Parks Board. For more Details, click here
Kranji Beach - Yes, u guessed it, its at Kranji Reservoir. Overlooking Johor. A must-go after u visit Sungei Buloh. Just simple quite place to chill out under the shades of old trees…
Pierce Reservoir - Wanna feel rite @ home? Then go Pierce. Upper or Lower, ur choice. Remember dun forget to wave at ur cousins who will climb down from d trees to welcome u. They may juz sit smack in da middle of d roads, careful, dun kill ur relative yeah :)
View is fantastic…this reservoir's thanni is very sootham, reflective and serene. If u r lucky juz as I was the other weekend, u can catch glimpses of vintage car owners strutting their possessions as they embark on a treasure hunt, drive routes with similar-interest pplz..
U fellas may wana pack some makan and have a feast right about anywhere in front of the lake here…
Sungei Buloh Nature Park - Near Kranji MRT station, it is one of the best nature reserve in Singapore mainland. The mangrove swamps are untouched and you can follow various trails and view the migratory birds such as kingfishers and egrets from observation hides If you are lucky you can see huge lazy iguanas moving stealthily near you. Or even a pambu slithering past. Dun forget to climb up the viewing tower to get a bird's- eye view of the park. You learn more about nammae local wildlife and have great fun following the trails at the same time wif ur pals..
Of course, get a bit of shopping and a bit o' chilling-out wif ur click when the sun goes down and oh, hey dun forget to revise. Happy holidays!!
