Hands-off ma! - No matter what's your skin color, adopt a strict "hands off" policy since picking leads to permanent scars. Darker skin is more prone to scarring and hyper-pigmentation (a dark spot that remains on the skin after the pimple is gone). Regime!- Use a simple 3 step beauty regime. Cleanse-tone-moisturize! Dry and tight! - Since dark skin can be extra sensitive if you are undergoing acne treatment, u often experience dry skin or ashiness. To avoid this condition, use an oil-free moisturizer all over the face in addition to your daily zit-fighting regimen. Try Dermalogica, it is alcohol and mineral oil free!
You Get Even! - Darker skin tones tend to have more variations in shading than lighter skin tones. For those who lack an even complexion, match your foundation as close to your natural color as possible and apply loose powder. Some say that when you actually us a foundation closest to ur skin tone, you can even juzapply on the areas requiring touchups, not on whole face.
Brows beater - Indian gerls have naturally thick luscious brows. Try threading to keep it neat. Heard its $5 bucks down at Rupini's. Use a good tipped brow pencil to draw your brow with feather-like strokes so the line doesn't appear too bold or unnatural. To give the finishing natural look, use an eyebrow comb/brush to ensure the line is less.
Kissies - Gerl, dun forget to use a lipliner to line ur lip b4 u apply lipstick. This ensures ur lip colour does not smudge and lips look more defined!
